What is the best way to promote our lenses here at Crabbysbeach? We have groups and blogs and all the gadgets that can possibly be installed! We have an A-List Squidoo community here. Communities require involvement by the landowners and I personally feel that my beachfront property would have a higher property value if we could figure out a way to use it to bring more visitors to our Squidoo lenses.

Wouldn’t it be nice if we came up with a way for everyone to enjoy a little friendly competition? I think it would be a great way to promote our lenses and bring visitors to our beautiful grounds here at the beach.

With this letter in mind, we have decided to set up a friendly contest for all Squidoo Lens Luau Group members. It’s easy to enter! Just read below and get ready for the challenge!

Who wouldn’t want this rockin’ badge?

This contest will run from February 1st, 2010 and for as long as you continue to blog about your lenses!

Scope

Squidoo Lens Luau group members will have an opportunity to create one post a week about one of their own Squidoo Lenses they want to enter into a contest for a chance to win a special badge.

General Outline

Every week, Monday through Friday, members of the group can post any one of their own (old, new, any) lens in the Squidoo Lens Luau category under the corresponding sub category for that week.

The lensmasters then place the link to that lens in the Squido Lens Luau lens at Squidoo for the purpose of a public vote.

The plexo for that week will close on Saturday morning and the results verified.

The winner(s) will be posted Sunday and they will receive their badge.

Benefits

Each participant will receive at least two backlinks to their entered lens; one from the Squidoo Lens Luau Blog and the other from the matching lens.

The winners will acquire at least a third link.

Crabbysbeach will receive one backlink per winner per week. ** Note:  Weekly winner(s) agree to place the badge on the winning lens or on their profile as part of the agreement.

Restrictions

• All lenses will be accepted
• When posting at the blog, the All In One SEO options must be employed
• Any group member can post about as many lenses they want to each week, but the may only post about one contest lens (if more than one is submitted to the plexo, only the first one listed will be kept)
• All times are EST
